This Month:
This month, we are finishing our unit on matter and moving on to explore force, motion, and energy. A lot of our force/motion/energy unit focuses on a new concept -- circuits and electricity!
Home Connection(s):
- Challenge your student to come up with his/her own experiment about force and motion.
- A fun, cheap, and easy circuit activity to do at home requires only a D cell battery, a small light bulb, and some foil. Challenge your student to build large and complex circuits.
Upcoming Events:
- StarLab, a traveling planetarium, is coming to Old Union the two weeks after Spring Break. On these days, students will enter the planetarium (set up in the Science Lab) with me, and explore stars, constellations, and star stories. On these days, please make sure your student wears socks. No-tie shoes are also preferable. You may also want to send your child with a light jacket, as students who sit by the fan might get chilly. I'm looking forward to our StarLab experience together!
