This month, we are continuing our study on matter by looking at density and mass.
Home Connection(s):
- Give your child opportunities to compare densities of liquids by pouring them in the same container and seeing what happens.
- You can also make the "Oobleck" we made in class right before winter break and talk about the properties of a non-Newtonian fluid. Download the recipe for both Oobleck and Glurch (another non-Newtonian fluid) below.

- Each fourth grader needs a clean, empty 2-liter bottle for an investigation we're doing in Science Lab on Tuesday, January 13. You're welcome to bring the bottle to Science Lab earlier than January 13 -- just tape a note to the bottle with your student's name on it.
