This Month:
Kindergartners are focusing on plants for the first half of the month, spending a week on recycling during Earth Week, and then moving on to animals and their habitats.
Home Connection(s):
- If you have a garden, let your child help take care of it. It's a great way for students to see first-hand how plants grow and change throughout their life time!
- Although the city of Southlake does not require residents to sort their own recyclable materials, kindergarten students spend time in the lab talking about ways we could sort trash. Next time you are getting rid of something, let your child decide if it should be thrown away or recycled.
