This Month:
This month, we are focusing on organisms and their environments -- specifically pond animals. We'll be investigating how an animal's body can grow and change throughout its life, and how animals sometimes have special features (or adaptations) that help them survive.
Home Connection(s):
- Start a conversation with your student about any animals he/she encounters -- even if they're not "pond animals"! Ask students to think about what special features that animal might have in order to help it survive. You could also encourage your student to think about how certain animals could change (or adapt) in order to live in different places.
