This Month:
This month, we are investigating how matter can change when it's heated or cooled, and then moving on to study rocks.
Home Connection(s):
- Let your student help during meal preparations -- it is a wonderful way to see how some matter changes when heated (ex. butter melts) or cooled (ex. butter freezes).
- Encourage your child to start a rock collection at home. He/she can sort the rocks by various properties and learn the "official" names as he/she gets older.
Upcoming Events:
- Registration for the first annual Old Union Science Fair ends on Friday, November 7, 2014. The project is due at school on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Science Fair projects will be displayed in the library during Family Science Night on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. For more information about the science fair, please click HERE.
